Minister calls on nation to support critical Generations actor
Johannesburg - Generations actor Rapulana Seiphemo is still reported to be in the Intensive Care Unit and in critical condition after a car accident that claimed the lives of two people.
Yesterday, Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa said he was saddened by the news and called on the nation to lend support to Mr. Seiphemo's family and the others.
“Rapulana Seiphemo is in our prayers. Together as a nation let us give him and the other injured people our collective strength to pull through, to recover and to return to lead their full daily lives. Let us hold hands with their families and friends for there is strength in numbers, endurance and resilience."

According to police, Mr. Seiphemo was travelling on the N14 near Centurion on Sunday night, when a car crashed into the vehicle he was in.
ER24 medics raced to the scene and transported those who survived to hospital.
Mr. Seiphemo was taken to Netcare Milpark Hospital.
Tshwane metro police spokesperson Isaac Mahamba told the media that authorities would not divulge details of the accident at this stage. It's unclear when the outcome of the official investigation will be made public.
Mr. Seiphemo plays the role of Tau Moglae on local drama series Generations: The Legacy.
Yesterday, marked eight years since Isidingo actress Ashley Callie died in a tragic car accident.
On the 15th of February 2008, Ms. Callie was travelling back from a Pirelli Calendar launch when her car collided with another in Linden, Johannesburg. The 31-year-old died after several days in hospital.
The actress was best known for her role as Leone Haines on Isidingo.
